Grandparents Day

Join us on Friday, October 25, 2024!

Grandparents Day is a Maine Coast Waldorf School tradition inviting grandparents, special friends and parents to experience a half-day of Waldorf education. This day is an opportunity to express our gratitude to the grandparent community that does so much to support our families and the school. Light snacks and refreshments will be served to guests. Continue reading for a sneak peek of Grandparents Day highlights!

Our Morning Together

8:30 am: Welcome reception with light refreshments

9:15 am: Enjoy a glimpse into the arc of Waldorf education with offerings from Grades 1 through 12

10:45 - 11:45 am: Play yard visits with the Early Childhood, and classroom visits with Grades 1 through 12

12 pm: All students in Early Childhood through High School are dismissed

Count Me In!

Early Childhood

Early Childhood students do not participate in the stage program at 9:15 am but guests of Early Childhood students are encouraged to attend. You will receive a glimpse into our Grades 1 through 12 curriculum with offerings by our older students. Guests of Early Childhood students will walk through our Early Childhood classrooms, meet your student's teachers, and observe the children enjoying the play yard. The facilities for Grades 1 through 12 will be open, and guests are warmly welcome to preview these buildings as well.
