Music

At Maine Coast Waldorf School, music is a daily practice and a shared language.

Music grounds our mornings, shapes our community, and invites students to discover their voice—whether through harmony, improvisation, or joyful experimentation. Music at Maine Coast Waldorf School is woven into daily life—from morning classes to performances in assemblies, festivals, and our café stage. Whether students arrive as trained musicians or curious beginners, they find a place in our music community, where music is not just something we listen to, but something we create, together.

Students select from one of three instrumental ensembles, Orchestra, Improv and Bluegrass. Each ensemble is designed to meet a variety of experience levels and interests.

Chorus

In chorus, students develop vocal technique, explore rich harmonies, and experience the power of collective singing. Choral work also deepens listening skills, strengthens musical literacy, and builds connection through shared breath, tone, and purpose.
