In addition to our rich academic curriculum, Maine Coast Waldorf School offers a wide range of in-school and after-school activities for every student. Annual opportunities have included Maine Model United Nations, the One Act Drama Festival, the Maine State Science Fair, Writing Club, and Math Club. Student-led groups such as the Climate Club, Pride Club, and High School Student Council meet weekly during the lunch period.

Electives

Electives take place during the school day and vary each quarter. Recent offerings have included Robotics, Wilderness First Aid, Garden Club, Open Art, Creative Writing, Cooking, Yearbook, Blacksmithing, Archery, Debate Club, and Chess.

community engagement

Our High School is committed to meaningful community engagement. Each student participates in service-based learning throughout the year, with hands-on projects that connect them to real needs in the world around them. Students take part in activities such as organizing food drives, caring for the land and local ecosystems, supporting those facing housing or food insecurity, and lending a hand on campus—often alongside younger students. These experiences invite students to reflect on their role in the world and what it means to participate with care, awareness, and responsibility.
