Parent Association
The mission of the Parent Association is to nurture a vibrant, engaged and welcoming community by creating and sustaining a spirit of openness, clarity and trust, and providing opportunities for connection and understanding.
Whether you are new to Maine Coast Waldorf School or a returning family, everyone is considered part of the Parent Association (PA). Our vision for the PA is to foster strong communication, collaboration and community building. The PA provides many volunteer opportunities, hosts community events, and plans Waldorf-inspired workshops. Through our Class Coordinator structure, the PA facilitates communication between families and faculty, and supports classroom teachers throughout the year.
The PA meets on the first Thursday of each month in the cafe after drop off at 8:15 a.m. All are welcome (truly!). Here we share community news and ideas, information about volunteer opportunities, upcoming events, parent education, and more. It’s an ideal way to learn about school initiatives, committees, and working groups (such as DEI, Climate Action, and more). No matter how much or how little time you may have for volunteering, there is a place for you at the table. We’re delighted to have you.
