Spring for Waldorf Retro Prom a Huge Success!

In our first in-person Spring for Waldorf event since 2019, the Maine Coast Waldorf School community came together—dressed in retro prom attire— for an amazing evening that raised money for tuition assistance. The retro prom event was not only a huge success for bringing our community together again, it also has made a big impact from a fundraising perspective. We exceeded our goal of raising $100,000 for tiered tuition, and as of today we have raised an astounding $102,990 for tuition assistance through Spring for Waldorf, helping make this education more accessible and inclusive.

Over 40% of all families at Maine Coast Waldorf School receive some kind of financial assistance via our Tiered Tuition program, which awards nearly $1 million of funding to families all across the school each year. This annual benefit auction is by far the school’s largest fundraiser for tiered tuition, and your generous support will continue to make a profound impact for so many families who are seeking our unique Waldorf educational experience.

We’d also like to extend our heartfelt gratitude to everyone who helped make this event a success. We are deeply grateful to our business sponsors, party crashers (family sponsors), and our co-chairs Lauren Manganello and Dana Anderson who made this event a success. We are equally grateful to the Moser Family Foundation for continuing to support our Tiered Tuition program with their generous grant. Additionally, those on the Spring for Waldorf Committee, and everyone in the community who contributed unique heartfelt or handmade items, bid on items, donated money, volunteered your time and talents, or let loose on the dance floor on Thursday helped make the entire event an enormous success! Thank you for sharing our online auction and raffle tickets with your friends and family who could not be here. Your collective efforts make a huge impact on everyone in this community, and we could not do it with you. Thank you!
