MCWS has once again been fortunate to work with a volunteer team of college students from Bowdoin College’s McKeen Center for the Common Good. Ten energetic Bowdoin College volunteers helped the Farm Field and Forest Committee do a number of outdoor projects that simply wouldn’t be possible without this volunteer effort.
The team from Bowdoin removed an old fence and invasive species around the chicken coop at the Early Childhood Campus so that chickens can return to their coop soon, after having been away all last year. They also cut down and trimmed trees near the Farmhouse, opening up a walking path.
Our heartfelt thanks to these students who volunteered their time to help beautify and improve our 75 acre campus. It’s no easy task to maintain, and volunteer groups like this are very much appreciated.
