Sing and Dance! – Don’t Walk – to the High School Coffee House

The high school’s most musical Coffee House yet will take place Thursday, March 15, Community Hall at 7 p.m. Instead of primarily literary presentations, the evening will resound with song and dance, fiddle and guitar pieces, with acrobatics and a circus act or two included! Seniors Maria Barton and Rodrigo Cortes Estevez will co-host the event.

As usual, delectable refreshments will be on sale to help fund student activities, such as our Model UN team that will be participating in a May conference. Another project in need of support will be the Class of 2018’s spring service trip to Escuela Micael in Aguadilla, Puerto Rico, a Waldorf school founded in 2009 by a former Maine Coast family, Gustavo and Larissa Halley. Both the school and the island were hard hit back in September by Hurricane Maria. The twelfth graders will be doing various building projects and working with students while there and will also be bringing much needed supplies and dollars to help with the recovery.

So for a memorable evening of music, poetry, and sweets, and to support these worthy student initiative, mark your calendars for the 15th. Eighth grade students and their parents are especially invited.
