Why do we have an auction every year? Yes, it’s a ton of fun. But equally important, we want to celebrate what we all witness on a daily basis – heartfelt contributions of time, talents and resources that support an education that we deeply value and a community that we cherish. Every dollar raised at the Auction directly benefits our tiered tuition program, without which over 40% of our families could not afford to enroll their children at the school.
Because we want every family to come to the auction we are not charging any admission fee this year.
How will we raise the important funds for tiered tuition without charging an admission fee? Through a growing number of wonderful business sponsors, through the purchase of cash raffle tickets, and through generous charitable donations to demonstrate your support for this education. By bidding on auction items and signing up for Merri-Happening parties you will also help raise critical funds for tiered tuition.
Your auction invitation and cash raffle tickets will be mailed this week. We do require you to return the RSVP card, so we have enough food and drinks. Please mark your calendars, arrange for childcare (it’s 21+), and plan on joining us for a very fun and memorable evening on Saturday April 7th.
