Efficiency Maine will present plaque to MCWS, March 30, 8:00 am in the High School

The community is warmly welcome to attend a short ceremony at the high school on Friday March 30, 8:00 – 8:30am where Efficiency Maine will award MCWS a plaque designating the high school as a certified Maine Advanced Building.  We will also showcase our recently received PHIUS (Passive House Institute of United States) plaque which demonstrates the highest voluntary energy efficiency standard in the world!

High school students and faculty will be in attendance, as will the people who made this net-zero building possible, including the building’s architect (Briburn), general contractor (Warren Construction Group), the vendors who contributed towards the energy efficiency of the building, Building Committee members and representatives from Efficiency Maine.  We are excited that Michael Stoddard (Executive Director of Efficiency Maine and brother of two alumni) will deliver remarks and explain the significance of their award.

We hope you will stop by to celebrate this wonderful achievement that highlights our school as a leader in the area of energy efficiency and sustainability.
