This year our annual Fall Fair and Open House will be held on Saturday, November 4, from 10 am to 2 pm.
What is the Fall Fair? Many parents were first introduced to the school and to Waldorf Education by attending our ever-popular Fall Fair. For the past thirty-three years, the Fair has brought together MCWS families and the broader community for a celebration of the season with fine crafts, music, food, puppetry, outdoor games and unique entertainment for the whole family. This is also the day we host an Admissions Open House, providing prospective families with the opportunity to peek into classrooms, speak with faculty and staff and to see our wonderful community in action. This year we are thrilled to be able to offer tours of our new high school building!
In the Development Office we strive to meet the school’s fundraising goals while maintaining realistic expectations of our parents’ time and energy. By sharing the Fall Fair responsibilities across the whole school and coordinating the efforts through the class coordinators and committee chairs, we hope that our volunteers will find their efforts deeply enriching and rewarding. Everyone takes up a piece of the work and it all comes together! Because of the camaraderie generated when parents work together, the excitement from the students and the admiration for our community from visiting families, we encourage everyone to volunteer and get involved with the fair.
Mark your calendars spread the word. The Fall Fair has free admission and something for all ages.
Maine Coast Waldorf parents should remember that the day of the Fall Fair & Open House is considered a school day and an important part of your child’s and the whole family’s experience.
Note: Updates about the Fall Fair will be regularly posted in the Tuesday News
