Over the past week, we have all shared the excitement of watching large excavation equipment and huge dump trucks making their mark at the community hall site. At the Fall Fair on Saturday, the little children were lined up outside of the fence to stare at the large “digger” that is so busy throughout the week. We were not surprised by the immediate attraction of this powerful equipment on our campus!
This is just the beginning of a number of weeks of heavy excavation work and cement trucks pouring foundations. We are working closely with Warren Construction and Dugas Excavating to be mindful of the children, especially at arrival and dismissal. In addition, the site supervisor is posting more signs, our Caretaker is putting up additional fencing, and more teachers and staff will be standing near the entrance and the start and end of each day.
We ask you to be especially mindful when driving in and out of the driveway and if possible, walk your children up to the narrowed pathway in the morning. We anticipate that this next month will be the busiest with large trucks in and out of our campus.
Thank you for your patience and your support as we watch this project unfold!
