Fall Fair & Open House

The Sun Gods smiled down on us this past Saturday as the Maine Coast Waldorf School Community enjoyed all the festivities the Fall Fair had to offer! Thanks to all of you the Fair was a lively and enjoyable community event. We welcomed many alumni, former families, potential new families, and friends. Our classrooms were alive with various activities for the young and not so young, little treasure bags with happy new owners, crafts that were skillfully made, as well as annual fundraisers that were supported. Our center green was lively with tasty crepes, soup, chili, German currywurst and delicious home baked goods from so many community bakers! These offerings were enjoyed while taking in the fabulous music from our faculty and parents!

This event is a wonderful example of how warm and inviting everyone is to those who are new to the community and how we all work so well together toward one goal. There are so many that helped to make this year’s Fall Fair a success and this includes those who worked behind the scenes organizing, baking, gathering items for the pocket person, crafting for the squirrel’s attic and Children’s Crafts, organizing donated outerwear items, and those who volunteered their time for set-up and during the Fair. I’d like to especially thank the Fall Fair Activity Leaders as follows:

Squirrel’s Attic: Emily Kurucz and Jen Pickrell
Children’s Games: George Cabot, Kevin Sprague & Drew Tieman
Falling Leaves Café: Justyna Benton, Lynette Bassett, Paul Harrison & Eric West
Pocket Person: Charles Staples
School Store: Mary Beth Muentener
Children’s Crafts: Julie Yeo
Gently Used Outerwear: Elizabeth Horton
Candle Dipping: Heidi Randall, Melissa Roberts, Pam Shervanick

Our gratitude extends to all of you who contributed to the overall success of the day, while raising essential funds for the school.

Many thanks, Mary Martin, Events Coordinator
