The Fall Fair & Open House is Saturday, November 5, 10:00 am – 2:00 pm
To make the Fall Fair successful, we ask every family in the school to do three things: Volunteer, Donate, and /or Bake.
Volunteer: Staff an activity on the day of the Fair: Sign up here to work a shift. If you are not sure what your class activity is, it is listed at the top of the sign-up.
Outerwear Needed for Fall Fair Outerwear Sale: Please donate your gently used outerwear of all sizes to the Fall Fair. Drop off donations in one of the marked bins in the grade buildings or in the ECC. We accept many items including long underwear, boots, coats, rain gear, ski pants, scarves, fleece, sweaters mittens and gloves.
Pocket Person Treasures: If you come across any small treasures such as gemstones, crystals, sea glass, coins, marbles, shells, or other treasures, please drop them off in either office in the basket labeled “Pocket Person Treasures”.
Get your Bake On! The Falling Leaves Café is calling out for sweets such as muffins, scones, cookies, bread, or savories like quiche. Please bring your sett or savory items on a platter, cut and ready to serve! Drop off your platter in the M & M room either Friday afternoon, Nov. 4th, or before the fair begins at 10AM Saturday.
On Saturday, Fair Day, there will be something for everyone from the younger children to the high school students. Plus, parents will enjoy the music in various venues, can pick up great deals on gently used outerwear, shop in the Middle School building where there will be Crafters, the School Store, and School Fundraisers. Don’t forget to purchase your beeswax candles and order your wreaths! Children aged 3-7 can make Waldorf-inspired crafts, see a puppet show, and enjoy outside games. For the very young a secret treasure can be found in the Squirrel’s Attic or with the “Pocket Person.” Older children can find craft projects in the Handcraft room, candle dipping and balloon darts. There are many offerings of food, including French Crepes, German Sausages, soups at Rudolf’s Diner and a varied selection of sweets and savory items, plus Wicked Joe Coffee in the café!
Bring a Friend and help spread the word about Maine Coast Waldorf!
