Buddhist Lama Visits Grades 5-8 and Shares Stories of Tibet

On a beautiful September morning,  Sixth, Seventh and Eighth graders gathered outside to be a part of the Mountain Top Smoke Ceremony.  Sangngag Rinpoche,  a Buddhist Lama living in Nepal, came to lead us in the ceremony which is performed when new things are to come.  Rinpoche is a special friend of the Seventh graders; each year he comes to visit former parent Tashi Armstrong, and has been visiting since our class was in fifth grade.  After the auspicious ceremony, Rinpoche also visited the Fifth graders to tell him about his life in Tibet, and his amazing journey over the Himalayas as a young man.
