Green-Up Day a Huge Success

Thank you to the fifty people, including faculty, parents, grandparents, and children, who helped make last Thursday’s Green-Up Day a joyful and productive afternoon work party. Under the direction of our partners at The Resilience Hub, we built wattle fences, rebuilt the sandbox with a stunning wood stump border, cleaned up the woods play area, planted and pruned, made a bench, and spread a huge pile of wood chips. All of these projects enhanced the play area for the children in grades 1-3 while protecting the plants, trees and soils of this much-used area. Some of the younger classes will continue to work on these and other projects through the fall, so if you have natural materials to donate, please let your teachers know.
