Cross Country Running
Our cross country team takes advantage of the many amazing trail and road running options in Cumberland County. Our team is open to all 6th, 7th and 8th graders, and runs September to October. Practices are every Monday and Wednesday, 3:00 - 4:30 PM, with races on Thursdays. Maine Coast Waldorf competes as part of the local CCC (Cumberland County Conference) league and members participate in area meets. There is a fee to cover team shirts and meet entrance fees. Nordic Skiing
Our nordic ski team emphasizes both the non-competitive elements of skiing—joy of movement, building of community and respect for each person's gifts—as well as the positive elements of competition: commitment to self-improvement, individual support for all team members, experiencing the challenge of putting one’s own ability "on the line" within a supportive environment that will celebrate everyone's performance as a good effort for the team. The Nordic Ski Team is open to any 6th, 7th and 8th graders and meets December to mid-February on Mondays and Wednesdays (3:00-4:30 PM), with races on Thursdays. The team is part of the CCC league and participates in area meets. Students who choose not to race are expected to attend the races to ski and cheer for their fellow team members. There is a fee to cover costs.

Ultimate Frisbee
In Ultimate, team members make their own calls, relying on close cooperation between players on both sides rather than on referees. This cooperative element of the game, combined with its hard-playing style, makes it a good fit for our school, where sportsmanship and athleticism go hand-in-hand. The Ultimate Frisbee Club is open to 6th, 7th and 8th graders, with the emphasis on learning skills, having fun, and game practice. The club gets together Mondays and Wednesdays 3:00-4:30 PM in the spring. Weekend tournaments are part of the frisbee experience. There is a fee to cover costs

Extended Day for Grades 1 — 5
For parents needing a longer day (3:00 — 5:30) for their students, we offer a snack, games, homework supervision and outdoor play on our Freeport campus. Options for registration include one to five days for the entire school year. You will find the fees for this multi-age program listed here.
